BONA (Rh, N)

Polish variety of sugar beet registered in 2023. The variety is resistant to Rhizomania virus (Rh) and tolerant to nematodes (N). It has a normal sugar (NZ) utility type. It has a smooth, conical root which is deeply sunk in soil which has a positive influence on mechanical harvesting. The leaf rosette is medium-sized with small curls.The variety is characterised by highly vigorous seeds and fast germination on the field. The variety cumulates sugar in roots fast, it is recommended for intermediate-early harvesting period. Acc. to COBORU, the average for 2021-2022 (registered tests) is as follows: root yield 859.0 dt/ha, sugar content 18.6%, sugar technological yield 142.3 dt/ha.
