ZAGŁOBA Rh

The newest Polish variety of sugar beet registered in 2021, resistant to Rizomani virus. It has a normal sugar utility type. The variety is characterised by highly vigorous seeds and fast field sprouting.

It is characterised by a conical root, which is almost entirely sunk in soil, and a very straightened shape of a medium-sized leaf rosette, which has a positive influence on combine harvesting. The variety cummulates sugar in roots fast, that is why intermediate-late harvesting period is preferred. Acc. to COBORU, the average for 2019-2020 (registered tests) is as follows: root yield: 890.0 dt/ha, sugar content: 17.2%, sugar technological yield: 134.3 dt/ha.
