Sobieski Rh, Cr

A Polish variety of sugar beet registered in 2015. The variety is resitant to Rizomani virus and to Cercospora leaf spot disease (Rh, Cr). It has a normal sugar (NZ) utility type. The variety has a smooth conical root and a medium-sized straigneted leaf rosette, which has a positive influence on mechanical harvesting. The variety has high yields regardless of the level of Rizomani intensity.

High root yields, along with fast sugar cummulation in roots, provide high sugar technological yield per hectare. It is recommended for intermediate-late harvesting. Acc. to COBORU the average for 2013-14 (registered tests) is as follows: root yield 936.0 q/ha, sugar content 18.0%, sugar technological yield 150.6 q/ha.
